Refund & Cancellation Policy
If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns about anything at Chai and Conversation, please reach out to our team info@chaiandconversation.com. We’ll take care of you.
Membership (Basic, All Access, All Access Live)
Memberships are billed monthly or annually, and you can cancel or pause anytime from your account. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again. We don’t refund partial months — but if something feels off, write to us.
Examples of refunds we’d grant:
- You were just charged for the next month or year but you meant to cancel. Let us know and we’ll refund that charge.
- You forgot to cancel a few months back and haven’t logged in since. We’ll refund up to 3 months of unused membership.
- You signed up for the annual plan, used it for a few months, and your life changed in a way that means you can’t continue. We’ll look at your account and figure out a prorated refund that feels fair.
Trial period
Every membership comes with a 30-day free trial. That’s your time to explore the courses, sit in on a live session or two, poke around the community, and figure out whether Chai and Conversation is the right home for your Persian learning. If it’s not for you, just cancel from your account before the 30 days are up and you won’t be charged a thing.
If you joined through one of our bootcamps, your free trial is even longer — the full six-week bootcamp plus a couple of extra weeks, around two months total — so you have plenty of time to settle in before any charge happens.
A few things worth knowing:
- If you forgot to cancel and were just charged at the end of your trial, let us know and we’ll refund that first charge.
- If you participated in the bootcamp and decided it wasn’t for you but didn’t get around to cancelling, write to us within a reasonable window and we’ll refund you.
After the trial period
Once your trial ends, your membership begins and you’ll be charged at the rate you signed up for. We don’t issue refunds after the trial window — the idea is that the trial gives you all the time you need to decide, so by the time you’re charged, you’ve already made the call.
That said, life happens, and we don’t want anyone to feel stuck. If you need to step away, here’s what we can do:
- Pause your enrollment for a few months and pick up where you left off when you’re ready.
- Apply your remaining tuition as credit toward another Chai and Conversation product — a future cohort, a course bundle, whatever fits where you are now.
